You obviously can't dupe glitch on your existing characters. This only allows you to dupe glitch on new characters and then get back online without re-downloading any patch data 2. Each also maintain their own save data, but modifying one modifies the other, and no operations can be performed on one without performing the same operation on the other, bloodborne version 1.09 cannot download.
So it's weird, in that they DO maintain their own savedata each, but anything done to one is also done to the other for the sake of consistency. When you first install GOTY edition, though, it has no savedata, so as soon as you initialize its save data by starting a new character on GOTY edition it copies all the save data from the original to the GOTY edition.
For example: I've got Bloodborne save data with 5 characters on it. I install GOTY edition, and it's blank no save data. I start GOTY edition, and create a character.
Now I quit to the main menu; I will have 6 characters there: the 1 I just created, and the 5 from my normal edition's save data. If I now open the normal edition, it will also have 6 characters. So, to get to the interesting part: 1. Backup save data onto USB 2. Delete Bloodborne save data you will see 2 Bloodborne applications; it doesn't matter which you delete; in accordance with what I explained earlier, deleting one will delete the other as well 3. Delete the application data for the normal edition 4.
Start normal edition, and use the dupe glitch to your heart's content 5. Face your fears as you search for answers in the ancient city of Yharnam, now cursed with a strange endemic illness spreading through the streets like wildfire. so i played bloodborne about a year ago along with the dlc and i've recently been getting back into it, however, every time i put the disc in my ps4 it starts downloading the update again, which, with my internet connection, is about 10 hours. i've never deleted it or anything, but every time i try to play it, it won't let me until i install the update. which i already have. any ideas. my brother also has a ps4 and bloodborne and he can load his saves just fine. The only difference that I can think of is that his version of bloodborne is a digital download while mine is a disk, but I don't know if that would really make a difference. I am at a loss and really upset at .
